We support students from Fairfax County, Virginia, Mongomonery County, Maryland, Loudoun County in their college application, admission interviewing, and college essay writing process. each year, we hold many college application, admission interviewing, and parenting seminars to high school students and parents. College Application Adviser:

Senior Counselor Ms. L.   worked for Georgetown University Law Center where she served as an Associate Director of Career Services. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the New York University School of Law. She conducted alumni admissions interviews for the University of Pennsylvania, and has served as co-chair of the school’s Secondary School Committee in Montgomery County, Maryland.  

The counselor has been helping high school students navigate the college admissions process for more than 10 years. Among the 2019 and 2020 senior graduates, her students were admitted to top schools, including: Harvard, Princeton, U Penn, Brown, U.S. Naval Academy, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, U Chicago, Purdue, U Michigan, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UVA (Echols Scholar), UIUC, Georgia Tech. In addition, her students got admitted to Duke, Georgetown, Tufts, William and Mary, Penn State, Wesleyan, Bowdoin, Vassar, Wellesley, Wake Forest, and other great schools. She has supported Oakton Academy’s college application and essay writing workshop since 2016. We all appreciate her advice and guidance in college selection, essay writing, mock interviewing, and application form completion process. 

Counselor Ms. A. worked for college campus for 13 years. She was an academic adviser at George Washington University, helping hundreds of students successfully transition to college life. She now guides her students through the college admissions process, and also helps college students with graduate school admissions.  

She holds BA from Duke, and master degree from Harvard School of Education. She was an Associate Director of Academic Advising at the George Washington University. Furthermore, Ms. Annie worked at the Duke University Law School and served as an alumni interviewer for Duke. A graduate of Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC, she was a member of the school’s Alumni Board for almost ten years, including two terms as president of the Board. Her students got admitted to Yale, Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, UVA, Wake Forest University, Duke, and other top colleges. 

Essay Reviewing and English Teacher Ms. Ivy graduated summa cum laude in English and Political Science, and she has “English Composition” courses in the English Department of George Mason University.

She holds a JD and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. She worked as an attorney for Farris, Riley & Pitt Law Firm in Birmingham, AL. She was the recipient of an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, as well as a National Merit Semifinalist Award. In her writing career, Ms. I. has published many poems and writings. She was an Associate Editor of the Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review, as well as a “Truman Capote Fellowship” recipient.

Essay reviewer Ms. I. has worked with high school students on successful college applications and essays. Most recently, one of her students was successfully accepted in transferring from George Mason University to Purdue University. She helped students with their essays for local high school admissions (TJ, Oakton, Langley, McLean HS). Many of her students got into Brown, Princeton, Columbia, U Penn, U Chicago, UVA, Purdue, Penn State, and other top colleges. Ms. I. is very well respected by all parents and students. She is looking forward to working with our students on their upcoming college essays and applications.

Essay reviewer Mr. D. has successfully worked in academia for more than ten years, serving as a College English instructor, essay writing teacher, and academic adviser. He has master degree in English, and has been an full -time editor in Washington, DC area. He has successfully helped seniors’ college application and essay reviewing. Most of his students got into early action or early decision pool, including Harvard, princeton, Columbia, U Chicago, CMU, Cornell, US Naval Academy, Brown, UVA, Purdue, Penn State, Drexel University, U Pittsburg, U Michigan, William and Mary. His expertise includes disciplines and guidance in college application essays, resumes, students’ profile, college dissertations, theses, summer program application, internship, and job applications. Mr. D. also helps clients in preparing for large scaled writing projects, important speeches, books, and paper presentations. His meticulous editing and easy going communication skill received glowing feedback from his students and parents. We are very grateful that Mr. D. continues to support our seniors’ college essay workshop and the juniors’ package workshop.
